Minding My Own Business
This powerful message takes us deep into John chapter 4, where we witness an extraordinary encounter between Jesus and a Samaritan woman at a well. What begins as a conversation over water transforms into a life-changing moment of spiritual awakening. The central lesson here challenges us to recognize that when we confess Jesus as our Savior, we enter into an intimate relationship built on faith, trust, and love. Yet this new life doesn't come without internal battles—the struggle between our old nature and the new person we're becoming in Christ. The most profound insight emerges when the disciples return and find Jesus speaking with this woman, yet they choose to mind their own business rather than interrupt what God is doing. This teaches us a critical spiritual principle: when the Lord is working on someone other than ourselves, we need to leave them alone and focus on our own relationship with Him. We spend too much time being curious about other people's spiritual journeys while neglecting our own soul salvation. The woman at the well had baggage, a complicated past, and was 'this close' to a breakthrough—and nothing was going to stop her transformation. Her story reminds us that regardless of who we are or what we've done, Jesus can still save us, redeem us, and turn our lives around. It's nobody's business but ours and God's when He's working on our hearts.
